Once your completed paperwork has been received, you will be placed on a list for the requested show. You'll receive a call a few days before the show to schedule an appointment time. You will not receive a call before that time. When possible, please make all communications via email rather than telephone.

Our show schedule is posted and is updated periodically. If you need an x-ray appointment, please fill out the OFA Form and click submit.
Appointment dates and approximate times will be scheduled as soon as paperwork is received. Email us a note stating which show date you want, an approximate time (we’ll do our best), a cell phone number we can reach you at during the show, and a list of all services you would like to have done. To prevent long lines, we can only accept appointments if ALL parts of the form (except microchip numbers) are filled out completely and submitted no later than 9:00am the morning of your appointment. Forms not having animal’s AKC numbers, and sire and dam numbers will not be accepted. (Submitting at least/ /24 hr in advance will help minimize waiting times.) Microchips will be available if you require them. X-ray appointments are allotted 15 minutes each. If additional time is needed, 15-minute consultations can be scheduled after your x-ray appointment.
For semen freezing appointments, please fill out the Semen Freezing Contract and bring this with you to your appointment. This form need not be submitted in advance. If a credit card will be used and the person who's name appears on the card will not be present, the Credit Card Authorization Form must be signed by the person who's name is on the card. All other OFA Forms can be downloaded, filled out completely and brought with you to your appointment.

Digital radiology appointments at dog shows can be busy at times.
You will have only a short time for the actual x-ray appointment and Dr. Popkin’s evaluation. He has been taking and evaluating films to be sent to the OFA since 1981 and has become very accurate in estimating what the OFA’s reading will be. You will be able to compare your dog’s film side by side with standards already evaluated by the OFA. In addition you will be able to discuss the case further with Dr Popkin later in the day or a different day after the appointments are finished. There is some subjectivity involved in the evaluation process so there can never be 100% correlation between Dr Popkin and the OFA. The evaluation will come in the mail in approximately 2 weeks directly from the OFA which has the final word in the process.
When you arrive for your radiology appointment, please have all OFA applications completed with all required information including AKC numbers, and microchip numbers. If your dog does not have a microchip, we can provide it. The applications can be downloaded from the OFA Web site. Applications are available at the show however you must have these forms completely filled out by the time of the x-ray appointment so please come to our trailer well in advance of your appointment if you have not downloaded the form.
Semen freezing appointments: Please have a completed Semen Freezing Application at the time of your appointment. It can be downloaded from our Forms section seen on the home page of this site. Please also download and bring a copy of the Semen Transfer Form. Fill out only your personal information (name address, etc) and leave all other sections blank. We always attempt to have teaser bitches available at the show however this is not possible at all times. It is always best to try to have one available yourself and come with her. You may call the day before your appointment to be sure we have one. Some dogs can be collected without teasers.
